Critical to the design was a clear view to the home’s private outdoor space and swimming pool.

We drastically improved the spatial and visual flow of the first-floor space. Removing some walls allowed for integration of the kitchen and living and dining rooms, resulting in a large, open layout.

The clients wished to reconfigure their first-floor space to an open plan that would accommodate entertaining for their large extended family. To reach this goal, we changed the configuration of all rooms on the first floor. The first-floor bedroom and laundry area was replaced by an open family room with fabulous backyard views, perfect for entertaining a large extended family.

The remodel required complex reframing of the family room area, as well as the relocation of mechanical systems. Together, practical design solutions and innovative products combine to open up the once-cramped plan.
