So says the NKBA’s 2023 trend survey, which predicts the trend to grow in popularity over the next few years, with 76% walk-in pantries, 66% built-in cabinets, and 62% decked-out spaces fit for a butler. ⁠ ⁠ Pictured: On one end of the cabinetry wall, false cabinet doors open to reveal a nine-foot-long walk-in pantry. Resilient flooring made of cork-backed vinyl resembles weathered wood throughout the open kitchen. Homeowner demand for LED lighting, dedicated recycling storage, energy-efficient appliances, and VOC-free paints are all expected to increase over the next few years. ⁠ ⁠ Pictured: Eco-friendly steel siding boosts energy efficiency, contains a minimum of 30 percent recycled material, and is 100 percent recyclable at the end of its long life cycle.
